My desk sits by a window, stacked with notebooks, strong tea, and other people’s stories. I started Pennant & Prose after twelve years in magazines and newsrooms — years that taught me one thing above all: readers can tell when you mean it.
Today I split my time between personal essays, long-form interviews, and voice work for brands with something genuine to say. Every commission gets the same care: deep listening, honest research, and sentences polished until they shine.

Essays and features usually need two to three weeks; brand voice projects run four to six. For rush deadlines, ask — I keep one flex slot each month.
Yes — that’s the heart of ghostwriting and brand copy. After a voice-discovery call and samples of your past writing, most clients say the draft “sounds just like me, on my best day.”
Essays begin at $450, features at $900, and brand voice projects are scoped individually. Every quote includes research, interviews, and two revision rounds.
Brand and commercial work transfers to you in full on final payment. Personal essays stay mine unless we agree first-publication rights in writing.
